All programs at the Career Technology Center are three years in length. Students spend one half-day at the Career Technology Center and the other half-day at their sending school. Bussing to the facility is provided by your sending school.
All programs emphasize and demonstrate the importance of basic employment skills such as:
- Arriving at work on time
- Exhibiting a strong work ethic
- Dependability
- Having an interest in work processes
- Preparing a resume
- Interview skills
Learning the skills you will need to prepare for working in your chosen field involves a 3-step process here at the CTC of Lackawanna County:

This learning process, which takes place in every program, provides you with hands-on experience and actually makes learning fun and interesting. It is the cornerstone of career and technical education.
