FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 7, 2008

 

Recently nine Protective Services students received recognition for successfully reaching one of several benchmarks in their program of study at CTC and earned the privilege to wear the Badge of a Protective Service Student. These students have completed the required Pennsylvania State Fire Academy certifications in Patrol Procedures, Safety and Training System and Fire Extinguisher Use. In addition they have earned CPR and First Aide certifications. The Badge is a symbol of these accomplishments. For each of these students it is one of many goals that they will achieve as they prepare for careers in criminal justice, security, fire science, or emergency medical services.

 

Students receiving this honor include: Justin Boyko, Riverside; Mathew Bryant, Dunmore; Samantha Dando, Dunmore; Kyle Dileo, North Pocono; Heather Gomes, West Scranton; William Jurbala, West Scranton; Sam Simpson, Scranton; and Kyle VanSplinter, Lakeland.
